Something I especially enjoy about being a Primary guide is...
“…there is just so much development that happens during the time period from 2.5-6 years old. Many children come into our classroom speaking only in short sentences, but by the time they fly up from Primary at the age of 6, they have grown and learned so very much! The 3-4 years that many children spend in our class also help to build strong bonds within the classroom community. Each day, it is delightful to stand back and observe the look of concentration and determination as a child keeps trying even through challenges, and then has that ‘a-ha’ moment of discovery!”
Shandra enjoys crafting, sewing, and spending time with her two cats, Frankie and Thomas, while at home. She likes to try out new recipes in the kitchen and share a meal with friends and family. She loves to travel to new cities and take in the local culture by trying new foods and visiting museums. When she can find the time, she enjoys getting outside to hike, camp and kayak if the weather is nice.
