After several months of planning, meeting, and drafting, the CMS Strategic Plan Committee and Board of Trustees is pleased to unveil the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan to the Chesapeake Montessori School community.
The 2022-2027 Strategic Plan aims to improve our overall organizational quality and the experience of each community member by addressing five key goals:
- Cultivate A Culture of Fundraising, Giving, and Philanthropy
- Engage our Community
- Maintain our Facilities, Grounds, and Environment
- Support and Invest in Our Well-Being
- Honor Our Shared Values and Individual Identities
After five years of major expansion and adaptation, namely the addition of our Upper Campus in support of an Adolescent Program, and modifying our practices in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our school is continuing a process of organizational refinement. As we strive to become a more sophisticated organization–one that now serves children spanning in age from 18 months through 15 years, across two campuses– we recognize fresh logistical, physical, operational, and communication challenges.
CMS pledges to honor our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The DEI Strategic Plan, implemented earlier in 2022, will stand side-by-side with this Strategic Plan.
We are positioned to offer an authentic Montessori education to more children, adolescents, and families than at any other time in our forty-five year history. This Strategic Plan acts as a compass, keeping us pointed toward that goal.
Thank you for taking the time to read over this Strategic Plan, CMS’s commitment to our years ahead as a school and community to you and your family. The Strategic Plan is also available on MyChesapeake and as a print copy in the office.
