Chesapeake Montessori School (CMS) has established a fund to assist families who are unable to manage the full cost of tuition. CMS has a non-discriminatory policy with regard to race, religion, and national origin in awarding tuition assistance. Admission and tuition assistance are separate processes.
Tuition assistance requests are considered annually and are kept confidential. CMS uses the services of School and Student Services (SSS), a division of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), when processing Tuition Assistance requests.
Tuition assistance awarded by CMS is determined by a committee consisting of the Head of School, the Business Manager, and a non-parent member of the Board of Trustees. The following factors will be considered:
- the report from SSS,
- number of years of attendance at CMS,
- number of children enrolled at CMS,
- if requested, additional financial information.
Families apply online at https://www.solutionsbysss.com/parents/.
The CMS code for SSS is 2358.
CMS has a limited fund for tuition assistance disbursement so please make your SSS application early as part of the application process.
