Something I especially enjoy about being a YCC teacher is...
“…watching the incredible abilities of the young child. I have been drawn to Montessori education from the first day I observed a school and watched toddlers take off, and put on their own shoes and socks. I was flabbergasted! Now, I love seeing the children grow and learn, with joy, and make new discoveries and accomplish new feats each day.”
Jenny grew up in Pennsylvania where she spent her childhood on an orchard reading books, crafting, and eating vast quantities of freshly picked fruit. Her summers have always been spent in Northern Michigan, living in a large cottage with about 25 members of her extended family where they read books, play games, swim, and pick vast quantities of fruit. She now enjoys living in Maryland with her husband and daughters. Most evenings you will find her working on some sort of crafting, from sewing mitts to creating new mobiles for the classroom, or reading a book.
